iOS WebView, as a session.
An iOS WebView, driven through cdpfleet's session API.
- iOSWebView
- APIsession API
- 3threads per session
What a session can do
| Capability | How |
|---|---|
| Navigate & wait for load | In the WebView |
| Evaluate JavaScript | In the page |
| Full rendered DOM | outerHTML |
| Native screenshots | From the WebView |
| Own cookies & storage | Per session, including HttpOnly |
| Own proxy & country | Per session |
Driven through the session API
iOS WebView sessions aren't driven with Playwright or Puppeteer. cdpfleet's session API navigates, evaluates JavaScript, returns the rendered DOM and takes native screenshots — the operations scraping and rendering checks need.
Each session has its own cookies and storage (HttpOnly included), its own proxy and country, and takes 3 threads.
Good to know
- Pages always render as a phone.
- Apple's own sites (apple.com, iCloud) load empty through a proxy — open them without one.
- For iPhone-shaped layout checks today, WebKit with Playwright's iPhone device descriptors runs on the fleet now.
