cdpfleet vs Hyperbrowser
A credits-based cloud Chrome with stealth, captcha solving and AI agents against a fleet of twelve real browsers: $0.10/hour plus $10/GB for its proxies (your own proxy on Enterprise only), or flat threads with free traffic through any proxy. Prices, limits and features side by side.
Hyperbrowser runs Chrome in the cloud for scraping and AI agents: you create a session over its API, connect over CDP with Playwright or Puppeteer, and add what you need — stealth, residential proxies, captcha solving, profiles, extensions, a live view and recordings — with scrape, crawl, extract and agent APIs on top, all paid in credits. cdpfleet is a fleet of twelve real desktop browsers — Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera, Naver Whale, Yandex Browser, Chromium, Patchright, Rebrowser, Camoufox, Firefox and WebKit — launched with one HTTPS call and driven over the Playwright protocol or CDP from five languages, on threads you buy. The per-hour prices are close; the difference is in proxies, browser choice and what's included.
| cdpfleet | Hyperbrowser | |
|---|---|---|
| Browsers | 12 — Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera, Naver Whale, Yandex Browser, Chromium, Patchright, Rebrowser, Camoufox, Firefox, WebKit. Chrome with stable, beta and dev channels and pinned previous majors; Camoufox with pinned versions. | Chrome (version not published). Stealth is opt-in: basic on paid plans, "Ultra" on Enterprise; a fingerprint can claim another OS, device or browser. |
| How you connect | Playwright protocol (connect(wsUrl), client 1.60) from Node.js, Python, Java, C# and Go — or "cdp": true for a cdpUrl: Puppeteer, connectOverCDP or any CDP client (CDP & Puppeteer). | CDP: Playwright connectOverCDP or Puppeteer on the session's wsEndpoint; Node.js and Python SDKs; Selenium on request; an MCP server. |
| Ending a session | Closing the connection ends the session and the billing; an unused session ends after 60 seconds. | Stops when the client disconnects, unless keepAlive; a stop API, and the docs warn not to rely on timeouts "to avoid unexpected charges". |
| Session length | Up to 24 h (shared threads: also capped by your remaining daily minutes). Idle timeout 120 s by default, up to 10 min on shared threads and 24 h on dedicated. | Your team's default timeout, or 1–720 minutes per session. |
| Browser time | Free Community plan (invite-only for now): 2 threads, 60 browser-minutes per thread a day, 15-minute sessions, proxies included. Per second, as thread-seconds. Shared: $0.02–$0.03 per browser-hour at full use; dedicated $0.0069/hour ($5.00/month for a browser around the clock). A headful session takes 2 threads. | $0.10 per browser-hour (100 credits), billed per second. Free: 5,000 credits; Startup $30/month (30,000 credits); Scale $100/month (100,000); Enterprise custom. |
| Traffic through your own proxies | Free on every plan — HTTP, HTTPS or SOCKS5, single, pools or per-host rules, with live swap and per-host traffic stats. Or the cdpfleet residential proxy, 4 tiers from $0.50 to $5/GB. | Enterprise plan only. |
| Residential proxy | cdpfleet residential: 4 tiers from $0.50/GB ($5/GB at Tier 1), $5 free credit, by country, device OS and sticky session; optional on every plan. | $10/GB on paid plans, off by default, 100+ countries with state and city targeting; static IPs available. |
| Concurrency | The threads you buy: 5 to 10,000 (more on request). | Free 1, Startup 25, Scale 100, Enterprise 1,000+. |
| Stealth | Real browsers by default (genuine Chrome, Edge, Brave…), headful by default, and three stealth builds — Patchright, Rebrowser, Camoufox. See headless tells. | Stealth Chrome with configurable fingerprints (OS, device, browser, locale, screen); ad and tracker blocking. |
| Captcha solving | Not built in. Use any solver through Playwright. | Built in on paid plans (reCAPTCHA, Turnstile, Cloudflare challenges and more). |
| Watching a session | Live view with human takeover — Watch / Take control in the dashboard, or a link from the API — and Launch interactive: open any browser on a start page straight into live view from the dashboard's code generator (start_url over the API). Session recordings as MP4 (480p free, 720p or 1080p on a plan), and JPEG frames to your code with page.screencast. | An embeddable live URL (interactive or view-only); DOM replays by default, MP4 video opt-in; kept 7 days (free) to 180+ days (Enterprise). |
| Persistence and extensions | Persistent profiles keep cookies, local storage and IndexedDB between sessions (paid plans); Playwright storageState; keep_alive to reconnect to the same browser on dedicated threads. No extensions. | Profiles (cookies, storage, cache) that persist and fork; custom Chrome extensions. |
| Agents and extras | None of its own: Playwright works with any agent framework or LLM. | Hosted agents (HyperAgent and Browser Use at $0.02/step; computer-use models per token), plus scrape, crawl, search and extract APIs. |
| Where the browser runs | Servers in the EU (Germany and Finland); your proxy decides where traffic exits. | US central, east and west, and Europe west; Asia south on higher plans. |
| Examples | 58 cases run on production in five languages, all on GitHub with their output. | Node.js and Python SDK guides and agent quickstarts. |

Which one, when
Pick Hyperbrowser if…
- You want captcha solving, extensions and hosted agents in one service, paid as you go in credits.
- Your sessions are short, so per-second browser time at $0.10/hour is most of the bill and you don't need your own proxies.
- You need browsers in US regions or a scrape/crawl API next to the browser.
Pick cdpfleet if…
- You bring your own proxies — free on every plan here, Enterprise-only there — or want residential traffic from $0.50/GB ($5/GB at Tier 1) instead of $10.
- The site must see a specific real browser or version: Chrome channels and pinned majors, Edge, Brave, Firefox, WebKit, Camoufox — not a Chrome claiming to be something else.
- You run browsers around the clock and want a flat monthly price per thread.
- You want the Playwright protocol from Java, C# or Go, not only CDP.
- You want to start free — the Community plan includes proxies — and try a browser in live view before writing any code.

The quickstart is one HTTPS call and five lines of Playwright; the code builder writes the launch for any browser and option set in your language.
