Residential proxy tiers: from $5 down to $0.50 per GB
The cdpfleet residential proxy now has four price tiers — $5, $2.50, $1 and $0.50 per GB — paid from one prepaid USD balance. Pick the tier per token, and mix tiers in one session with proxy_rules.

The cdpfleet residential proxy lets a session browse from a residential IP without a proxy account of your own: you send a cdpfleet-resi token as proxy, and the traffic is billed per GB from a prepaid balance. Until now there was one price. There are now four tiers, so bulk traffic doesn't have to cost as much as the pages that matter.
The tiers
- Tier 1 — $5.00/GB, the default:
cdpfleet-resi…orcdpfleet-resi-tier-1…. - Tier 2 — $2.50/GB:
cdpfleet-resi-tier-2…. - Tier 3 — $1.00/GB:
cdpfleet-resi-tier-3…. - Tier 4 — $0.50/GB:
cdpfleet-resi-tier-4…. - Exit country and sticky sessions work on every tier, e.g.
cdpfleet-resi-tier-4-country-us-session-cart1-lifetime-30; device OS targeting (-os-…) on Tier 1 and 2. The pools behind each tier can differ and may change.
One balance for all of them
- Traffic (up and down, 1 GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes) is paid from one prepaid USD balance, and each GB is charged at the tier of the token that carried it. The balance doesn't expire.
- Every account starts with $5 free credit — 1 GB on Tier 1, or 10 GB on Tier 4. Top up any amount from $10 on the dashboard's Proxies page.
- When the balance is used up, launches with a token return
402 proxy_balance_exhausted. Usage is metered about once a minute, so a running session may go up to $0.50 past zero before it is ended; that comes off your next top-up. GET /v1/me/proxy-balanceshows the balance, today's usage per tier in bytes and USD, and the price of each tier.
Mix tiers in one session
- A token can be the session's
proxyor a single rule's proxy inproxy_rules. Keep the pages that decide whether a scrape works on Tier 1 and send image and static-file hosts through Tier 4: "proxy": "cdpfleet-resi-country-us", "proxy_rules": [{ "hosts": ["*.cloudfront.net", "static.*"], "proxy": "cdpfleet-resi-tier-4-country-us" }]- Measured on a Wikimedia Commons gallery, images were about two thirds of the bytes, and moving their hosts to Tier 4 cut the cost of a load by about 60 %. The billed bytes per tier matched what the browser counted — case 51 has the program in five languages.
